[Site visit] The great Tase cities

Spurred on by Stephanie VONDIERE (HEI 1997) and Dorothée LEMAIRE (HEI 2002), we invite you to visit some of the construction sites in the Rhone-Alpes region.

First visit: Les grandes cités Tase in Vaulx en Velin

The project involves the rehabilitation of the large Tase housing estate (12 buildings, 189 lots) on an occupied site, with accessibility upgrades and residential development.

Built in 1924, the Grandes Cités Tase will soon be one hundred years old. The transformation operation launched by Sollar, with the support of the French government, the Lyon Metropolitan Area and the City of Vaulx-en-Velin, aims to modernize the housing, making it more comfortable and energy-efficient.The project aims to modernize housing, making it more comfortable and energy-efficient; redevelop the building footprints; revive the spirit of garden cities; and showcase remarkable architecture steeped in history.
