Visit the Cité Frugès - Le Corbusier in Bordeaux
Jean-Pierre Lartige (1983) and HEI Alumni propose a brand new outing in Bordeaux!
On September 27 at 6pm, you'll be invited to discover the surprising CitéFrugès - Le Corbusier.
Built between 1924 and 1926, the Cité Frugès was a veritable revolution in terms of both social housing and architecture. It was the result of a meeting between two personalities: a Bordeaux industrialist, Henry Frugès, and a daring architect and urban planner, Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-gris, known as Le Corbusier.
Initially, a guide will take you on a tour of a show house, telling you all about the history of the housing estate and its architect (duration of the tour: 1 hour), then you'll be free to wander through the tree-lined streets of the housing estate.
The tour ends with a meal at Le Boeuf sur la Place, 41 Place de la 5ème République, Pessac.
Visit free of charge, payment on site, HEI Alumni offers an aperitif.
