The 2021 edition of JUNIA ALUMNI DAY will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2021 on the theme:

The challenges of transition,

how can we prepare for a sustainable world and society?


With Philippe Dessertine, economist, University Professor, Director of the Institut des Hautes Finances, Founding Director of the Finagri Chair, Chairman of Comité 21's Foresight Committee.

New this year? A hybrid mode, allowing you to take part in the day either face-to-face (situation permitting) or remotely, as you wish!

PROGRAM :

From 8:30: Coffee reception

9:30 am - 10:30 am: Face-to-face workshop of your choice

CHOICE 1 : MORNING WORKSHOP : The Ecology of Management, by Nathalie Levy, certified coach and supervisor with 2ABD

Are you ready to take a fresh look at your management practices and be inspired by the living world? It's fascinating to realize that living principles can enable us to rethink management. Maximum 25 participants EN SAVOIR PLUS

CHOIX 2 : MORNING WORKSHOP : Pol'énergie : le jeu, by Damien Grosseau (HEI 2005), Director of Development at Pôlénergie

Pol'énergie is a serious game that puts you in the role of a Minister of Energy Transition. You have to make decisions on 11 energy-related issues. Your choices are confronted with the opinions of various citizens. Maximum 25 players .

CHOIX 3 : MORNING WORKSHOP : MY CO2, what is my carbon impact?

What's the carbon impact if I buy a new Zoé to replace my current car? Would eating less meat or heating better have a greater impact? Come and calculate your personal carbon footprint using the MyCO2 tool and its fun, participative approach. Maximum 25 people .

CHOIX 4 : MORNING CONFERENCE: The Big Conf, by JUNIA students

The school's passionate and enthusiastic students, all aware of the climate challenge, are mobilizing to present a conference on energy/climate issues! They will try to take you to the heart of the challenges of today's transition. READ MORE

10:30 a.m.-11 a.m.: Coffee break

11am: Lecture by Philippe Dessertine, economist, University Professor, Director of the Institut des Hautes Finances, Founding Director of the Finagri Chair, Chairman of Comité 21's Foresight Committee.

12:45pm - 2pm: Cocktail reception in the atrium

2:30 p.m.: start of face-to-face visits (your choice) or virtual workshops (the same as in the morning, in virtual format)

CHOICE A : Junia urban agriculture demonstrator on Campus Vauban

Discover the Junia research and development ecosystem, where you can discover, reinvent and transform the challenges of agriculture and food. You'll see an aquaponics system and a farmbot (an open-source vegetable-growing robot) on the patio of the JUNIA ISA building, as well as a vegetable-growing roof on a terrace. We'll also present the Palais Rameau project, spearheading this demonstrator. Maximum 40 people EN SAVOIR PLUS

CHOIX B : SUNELIS, energy self-sufficient building by Thomas Gheselle (ISA 2007-40), co-founder and CEO

Discover the headquarters of this company, which designs and installs photovoltaic power plants. An entirely passive building with rainwater recovery, photovoltaic panels, cellulose wadding insulation, compost, orchard, henhouse...and much more! 30 people maximum. TO FIND OUT MORE

CHOICE C - VISIT: La Brasserie de Wambrechies

Follow the guide to discover the history of this 200-year-old brewery and its founders, as well as the different stages of production: milling, boiling, yeasting, fermentation and distillation. And don't forget the tasting at the end! Maximum 30 people EN SAVOIR PLUS

For tour options B and C, a bus will take you to the site and back to Junia HEI, 13 rue de Toul, after the tour.

3:30 pm: end of virtual workshops

4:30 pm: return from tours, end of the day

You will need to show your health pass to take part in the event.

What is Alumni Day? Open to all JUNIA graduates, students and staff, as well as external guests, this annual event is designed to bring people together around a topical theme, and to offer a convivial and professional opportunity.
