[CONFERENCE] The engineer's and designer's design in the 21st century...

We will then have the honor of welcoming Gilles ROUGON for a talk that is particularly in line with the upcoming events organized by the MEL (Lille Métropole), which has been awarded the label: " Lille World Design Capital 2020 ".
This conference concerns you de facto, as it addresses the need to bring together engineers and designers in their design and innovation tasks.

Although the "engineer" and "designer" professions diverged and dissociated after the French Revolution, they now seem to be re-hybridizing (design management, datadesign, organizational design...) in a world where the two professions are becoming increasingly intertwined.) in a world that needs to be reinvented, faced with both climatic and societal challenges and accelerating innovation in all fields of technology. A fascinating breeding ground for "enlightened" engineers capable of pro-actively contributing to a kind of "new renaissance" throughout their career...

Gilles ROUGON is Collective Innovation Catalyst at EDF Pulse Explorer, responsible for supporting multidisciplinary teams in their innovation projects, programs and plans.

Gilles was elected member of the Board of Directors (2015-17) then Executive Treasurer (2017-19) of the World Design Organization. He is currently WDO Regional Advisor Europe, while the Métropole Européenne de Lille is World Design Capital 2020.

The conference will be followed by a moment of conviviality.
