Club du numérique en mouvement invites you to its event #2
CyberSecurity - A panorama of issues and threats by sector
Presented by Philippe TISON (1990), Senior Consultant and Practice Leader CyberSecurity Inetum Nord Est.
Not a week goes by without a cybercriminal attack on a manufacturer, local authority or hospital.
According to a study by cyber security software publisher McAfee and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the cybercrime "market" is estimated at $1.000 billion dollars (in data hijacking and ransom demands), or 1% of global GDP hijacked!
The almost sympathetic image of the hacker in 1980s films is long gone, as cybercrime has become industrialized and now has subcontractors, hotlines and marketplaces.
In the face of these threats, private and public players are mobilizing and making progress in the fight against patient criminals: According to an October 2020 study by Wavestone, the average time between an intrusion and its detection is 3 months (in 2019, this timeframe was 167 days)!
In fifteen minutes or so, Philippe will give you an overview of the challenges and main threats facing different business sectors.
The field of CyberSecurity covers both technological areas associated with current digital trends (Cloud, Artificial Intelligence), organizational or reIt also focuses on the human factor, which remains the weak link in all security solutions. These different areas may be explored in greater depth at a later date, depending on the sensitivities and wishes of participants in the Club du Numérique en mouvement.
After graduating from HEI with a degree in Industrial Computing, he obtained a Master's degree in Image and Artificial Intelligence from Télécom Bretagne in 1991. For 10 years, he worked in a variety of positions (Project Manager, Systems Engineer, Manager) at 3 Suisses France and Pimkie International, 2 thriving employers in the Nord region during the 90s. He lived through the explosion of micro-computing in these companies and the first experiences of celles-ci with the Internet. In 2002, he joined the Service sector, where he extended his scope to pre-sales and outsourcing contract management, as well as the management of a 160-strong profit center. Since 2014, he has been working in the field of CyberSecurity, and since 2018 has been leading the activities associated with this field at ESN Inetum (formerly Gfi) in North-East France, as Senior Consultant and Practice Leader. |
