Constructal law and its engineering applications

As part of JNI 2019, on March 20, 2019 at 6 pm

IESF Hauts-de-France invites you to the HEI School in Lille for a conference by

Sylvie LORENTE, University Professor and Director of Corporate Relations and the INSA Toulouse Foundation

THE CONSTRUCTIVE LAW AND ITS APPLICATIONS IN ENGINEERING

IESF Hauts-de-France asked Sylvie LORENTE to present constructal theory, or loi constructale, to a gathering of engineers, scientists and engineering students. It's a topic that should be of interest to anyone interested in how living organisms and matter are constructed.

Sylvie LORENTE, INSA engineer from Toulouse and University Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at INSA Toulouse, helped Adrian BEJAN develop the loi constructale. They have inventoried the geometric configurations of thermofluid processes, both physical and biological, and proposed an explanation of the morphogenesis existing in the evolution and design of these configurations.
