Hiking and picnicking in Montreal

For the summer season, Maud Thiery (2017 ) and HEI ALUMNI propose a hike followed by a picnic in Montreal's Parc du Mont-Royal.

Located on the mountain of the same name, Parc du Mont-Royal welcomes thousands of outdoor enthusiasts and hikers every year. You'll find several kilometers of trails in the forest, near a lake or at the top of the mountain near the famous Mount Royal cross. It's one of Montreal's most important green spaces.

Meet at 10 a.m. in front of the Monument Sir George-Étienne Cartier, Avenue du Parc. Your local contact is Maud Thiery.

• You'll hike to Parc du Mont-Royal.
• You'll picnic around midday at Beaver Lake: Bring your own lunch!
• Afterwards, you can enjoy activities such as Molky or pétanque, where areas have been set aside for this purpose.
