Founded in Marseilles in 1872, Brasserie de la Valentine (named after the district where it is located) joined the HEINEKEN group in 1988. The brewery was the birthplace of Panach'® Monaco® in 1995.

It employs 140 people* who produce 1.3 million hectolitres* of beer under 10 different brands, of which Heineken® accounts for 70%. Other beers include Amstel®, Pelforth® and, since July 2020, Desperados®.

The 34.5 million euro investment initiated in 2018 will enable the creation of a biogas facility in 2021, as well as optimizing the site's energy performance and increasing production capacity by 35% with the installation of a new packaging line in July 2020.

Brasserie de La Valentine is the only brewery south of the Loire and the only producer of Heineken® in 15cl format in France.

In 2011, the brewery received the Bronze Award from HEINEKEN International for the outstanding performance of the continuous improvement program implemented at La Valentine.

The La Valentine site stands out for its CSR performance, achieving reductions in water consumption (-26%), electricity (-20%) and gas (-30%) between 2008 and 2020. In the Brewery division, 100% of production waste is recycled or recovered, and 100% of managers are trained in alcohol risk management.
